Enchanting Nazareth Including Sites, Tastings, and Encounters – Highlights

  • We will embark on a fascinating tour through the largest Eastern Galilee city in Israel – Nazareth, the City of the Annunciation. The city is renowned throughout the Christian world as the place where the angel Gabriel informed Mary of the news of her conception. This is where Jesus, son of Mary, spent his childhood years. During the tour, we will discuss the multi-religious fabric of the city and interactions between Muslims, Christians, and Jews.
  • We begin our tour at the beautiful lookout from Mount Precipice, where we will learn about the area in ancient times, and discuss how modern day Nazareth became a political, cultural, and culinary focal point for Israeli Arabs.
  • The heart of Nazareth and visit the Ancient Bath House of Nazareth and hear the fascinating story of the building’s owner.
  • Unique Greek Orthodox Church of Annunciation, walk through the narrow streets of the old city, inhale the aroma of coffee and sweets, and recount what life was like in the city during the 19th
  • Extraordinary spice mill that offers a rich selection of spices, and taste some delicious dried fruit. We will explore the narrow streets of the colorful market and visit the White Mosque. We’ll explain how it got its name, and which family runs it. We will observe the architecture of the mosque, discuss the prayers and their meaning, and the Moslem empires that passed through here throughout history.
  • Complex and the impressive audiovisual display on the history of Nazareth according to the New Testament.
  • Church of the Annunciation, and Nazareth’s main Basilica. We’ll hear the annunciation story where the angel Gabriel came to Mary. We will experience the unique acoustics of the Basilica and hear the mass bells, discuss the different sects of Christianity.
  • Mary’s Well Square and a rich local meal.

During the visit, tour of different sites will be presented and special attention will be given to the computerized programs ELMA to show the  connection between Medical and administrative in different sites , out patient sub devision clinics, operating room and imaging services. Another aspect of the visit is to show how computing assist best patient care and satisfaction and creation of One Stop Shop methods using ALMA program.

Women Hospital in Rabin Medical Center provide excellent treatment in three areas: Gynecology Obstetrics Infertility

In our short visit we will provide information of our activities in these services.  In IVF we will explore our patient care and treatment as well as in Obstetrics and Gynecology Departments. Most of our services are computerized and we can provide details information of our patients. In addition we have develop unique computerized system that can give quality control information of our care. A special trigger tool in Obstetrics was develop and during our tour we will be happy to demonstrate this software. Enclosed a brief presentation of our activities.

The tour will include a walk through the largest Emergency Department in Israel.  Each of its pods (ambulatory, med/surg, trauma, and mass casualty) will be viewed and explained. The use of ELMA both as an online tool to help manage patient flow and to generate periodic reports for the ED medical director will be explained. Uplifting Tour of Three Religions in the Old City of Jerusalem

  • The Three Religions Tour takes you through the ancient alleyways and quarters of the Old City of Jerusalem, including sites that are holy to Judaism, Christianity and Islam. During the tour we will discuss each religion from a historical, religious, and social perspective, incorporating anecdotes about the current state of affairs among the various religions.
  • Church of the Holy Sepulcher, with a view of the Temple Mount from various vantage points. We will discuss the rise of Islam, its prophets and beliefs.
  • We will overlook the Western Wall and visit the tomb area, which is holy to the three religions, and walk along the main street that is as busy today as it was thousands of years ago.
  • Experience the diverse interpersonal fabric of people that currently live within the walls of the Old City.
  • Souk (open air market), where we will see and discuss the ritual objects of the three religions, smelling the fragrance of incense in the houses of worship, and soak in Jerusalem’s spiritual atmosphere, which has become a city for three religions.
  • The tour passes through main points in the Old City, including Mount Zion, King David’s Tomb (Nabi Daud Mosque) the Last Supper dining room, the compound that is holy to Jews, Christians and Muslims, the Jewish Quarter, the Hurva Synagogue, the Cardo, the heart of the Christian city Aelia Capitolina, the Muristan, and the Church of the Holy Sepulcher. We will explore the various streams at the compound, enjoy a view of the Temple Mount (Al Aqsa Mosque, Dome of the Rock, the Foundation Stone), understand Muhammad’s nocturnal journey, and view the Wailing Wall which is the sole remaining wall of the Holy Temple.
